Keen to transcend their basement suite status, Ren and her family are fighting for her dream to go to theatre school. Hamlet’s monologue in her chest and a decade’s worth of savings in her bank account, Ren is ready for takeoff.

The day Ren’s acceptance letter arrives, her mom dies in a car accident. Riddled with guilt and convinced a fight they had just prior was the cause, Ren signs away her savings to Dying+, a funeral home hell-bent on turning tears into dollar signs. Can Ren claw back her future, or will capitalism win this round?
