New York City Premiere

This screening will be followed by a filmmaker Q&A.

Following the death of their mother, a Thai-American brother and sister from Queens navigate life in the city and beyond. The two siblings mourn in their own subdued ways. Jamie starts her new job at a Zoo while her brother Narin continues his work at a neighborhood jiu-jitsu gym. After Jamie has an awkward interaction with a guy she’s seeing, she decides to plan an impromptu trip to get out of the city. Along the way, and upon their return to New York, the two siblings face a series of unexpected accounts.
