Volunteer with us!

Asian CineVision (ACV) is dedicated to those who love and support Asian and Asian American independent cinema.

Our organization is run entirely by volunteer staff who devote their time and energy to ACV events year-round, which include
our marquee event, our annual Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF).

Volunteering for our Film Festival

Asian CineVision is a non-profit organization which relies on the help of volunteers to ensure a smooth and successful Festival year. There are two types of volunteer positions available. Note that positions are UNPAID:

  • Festival staff dedicate themselves to the planning, coordination, and management of Festival film programming, events, and administration. Hours vary by position but are generally a flexible 15 hours/week during festival prep and wrap, with full availability/on-call during the Festival.

    • A festival staff position is a great fit for passionate working professionals and college students looking to boost their resume and/or develop their skills!

  • (Day-of) Festival volunteers provide essential support during the days of our Film Festival. Tasks can vary widely according to Festival Staff needs and staff work to match volunteers with the task that would suit them best. Training is provided prior to the Festival, with full availability required on Festival days.

    • A festival volunteer position would be a great fit for those who are interested in seeing the inner mechanics of a film festival but would otherwise be unable to commit to months-long staff position.

Applications are open for the 2024 AAIFF Festival Staff!
